Key Outcomes

  • Fewer manual stock discrepancies
  • More consistent pricing
  • More streamlined invoicing

The Challenge

Keeping online stock levels and product prices aligned with enterprise data, while reducing repeated manual invoicing tasks, required a reliable link between commerce and Oracle-based operations.

My Approach

  • Worked on an integration between the online store and Oracle-based business workflows.
  • Implemented or supported automated updates of stock availability and prices across the connected systems.
  • Supported automatic invoice issuance as part of the commerce-to-ERP workflow.
  • Considered operational consistency and handling of data across systems without disclosing proprietary configurations.

Results & Impact

The Oracle integration changed stock, pricing and invoicing from repeated manual coordination tasks into connected commerce workflows. That made product information easier to keep consistent across systems and reduced the amount of repetitive data entry required from the team.

  • Fewer manual stock discrepancies. Automated stock updates reduced reliance on staff copying availability figures between systems, lowering the chance of outdated or inconsistent stock information reaching customers.
  • More consistent pricing. Synchronizing price updates from Oracle helped store teams avoid repeated price edits in separate systems and reduced opportunities for differences between enterprise records and the storefront.
  • More streamlined invoicing. Automatic invoice issuance reduced the need to recreate the same order information manually, limiting transcription and formatting errors and making the administrative part of order handling more repeatable.
  • Faster operational handoffs. With stock, price and invoice information flowing through an integrated process, teams could devote less attention to routine copying and more attention to exceptions, customer needs and order verification.
  • A more dependable customer experience. Clearer availability and pricing information helped customers make purchasing decisions with greater confidence, while more structured invoicing supported smoother follow-up after an order.

Overall, the project linked customer-facing commerce activity with back-office processes. Automation reduced avoidable repetitive work and opportunities for human error, while employees retained the role of reviewing exceptions and supporting customers.
